LEICESTER are counting down to their first major national final of the modern era.
Stewart Dickson’s men are just over a fortnight away from back-to-back meetings with Eastbourne in the Championship Shield Final.
They head to Sussex on Saturday September 14 with the return decider at the Paul Chapman and Sons Arena the following day (5pm).
And Watling JCB Lions fans have the opportunity to make the trip south by booking a seat on the Leicester Speedway Supporters Club coach.
There’s still time to book by visiting the Supporters Club at the stadium on Saturday when the Roger Webster Lion Cubs face Kent or by calling Dan Archer on 07543 633636.
Boss Dickson said: “I want to see as many Leicester fans down at Eastbourne as possible to help us give ourselves the best chance possible for the return at home the next day.
“We have lots to look forward to in the remaining weeks of the season and there’s certainly a good feel about the place right now.”
Dickson is also expected to know more on Richie Worrall and the prospects of him returning soon when he has a further consultation on Friday.
Worrall has been out since June with a broken ankle sustained at Poole.
Meanwhile the hugely successful Lion Cubs head to the Isle of Wight for more National League action on Thursday.
Anders Rowe of Kent steps in for Ellis Perks who is required for Premiership duty at Swindon and Chris Watts comes in at reserve to replace the unavailable Ryan Macdonald.
Teams:
ISLE OF WIGHT: Georgie Wood, Chad Wirtzfeld, Scott Campos, Danno Verge, Ben Morley, Connor King, Chris Widman.
LEICESTER: Danyon Hume, Luke Ruddick R/R, Joe Thompson, Dan Thompson, Anders Rowe, Chris Watts, Ryan Terry-Daley.
